Ganta city Authority plans to build a multipurpose city hall that will be an event centre for families.
Plans are in motion after the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a multipurpose city hall at Ganta city. The Hall which is worth US$500,000 will contain offices, guest rooms, conference halls, along with other modern facilities.
During the ceremony, Ganta city Major Amos N. Suah said ”The building will make kids have a place to celebrate any big event including Christmas.”
City authorities are soliciting funding from both residents and the government to enable them to meet the deadline for the construction of the project. The deadline is set for a year with construction work already taking place at the pillar level.
Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf said ”We are happy for this project, because it will host most of our workshops to cut down some of the expenses on renting private places for workshops.”
According to Sirleaf, President Weah has pledged US$10,000 in support of the project and has urge Ganta city to be accountable for every cent they will collect from residents.
